1. Information on the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment according to ElektroG
As the manufacturer and distributor of electrical and electronic equipment, we are obliged to inform you as the end customer (owner of old equipment) about the following points:
Owners of old appliances must dispose of them separately from unsorted municipal waste. Therefore, electronic waste may not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and, in particular, does not belong in household waste. Instead, these old appliances must be collected separately and disposed of, for example, via the local collection and return systems.
Owners of old appliances are free to send them for disposal to our dispatch warehouse free of charge or to hand them over to us directly for this purpose.
It is the owner's (end user's) own responsibility to delete or remove personal data from/on the old devices that are to be disposed of.
Owners of waste equipment are also obliged to separate non-permanent batteries or accumulators and lamps that are not enclosed in the waste equipment without destroying them before handing them over to a collection point and to dispose of them separately. The latter does not apply if the waste equipment is separated from other waste equipment in accordance with Article 14(5), sentences 2 and 3 ElektroG within the framework of opting out by the public waste management authorities for the purpose of preparing it for reuse.
2. Meaning of the symbol according to Annex 3 of the ElektroG
Electrical and electronic equipment is visibly, recognisably and permanently marked with a symbol according to Annex 3 of the ElektroG. In this way, final consumers can recognise old appliances that are to be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment represents a crossed-out wheeled bin.
